So premier of survivor season 20 villians v. heros. The ones we love and the ones we love to hate. Gonna be a great season. I can’t wait to see all the big ego’s of the villians in one tribe, their is going to be some bickering going on their just wait and see.

Haven’t decided who I want to win yet. I’m thinking probably Colby though he was a favorite on season 2, also like Rupert though. I do not like boston rob but if a villian wins let it be him I think he is probably the smartest of all of the villians, i can’t stand the rest. As for Jerri + Coach= Perfect couple

Dear John February 9, 2010

**Spoiler**

So I have been reading a lot of hate about the recent film adaption of the Nicholas Sparks novel Dear John. First I have to address the fact that people are saying the acting was terrible. Well hello John’s life kind of made him jaded. He was a ex bad boy turned solider who’s mom left and his father has a form of autism. Really if that we your life how often would you be smiling. His character was supposed to that way, and when he fell apart with his father I cried, believable enough for me.
Secondly I went to see it with friends and they hated it. I think they went in to the movie expecting something similar to The Notebook, well if you do go in with that attitude you will be disappointed. I knew going into the book that they were not going to end up together. in WWII when someone got a dear john letter it meant that their lover was breaking it off. I think that many people my age may not know that fact. So it is hinted from the beginning that they will not end up together. You also have to go into Nicholas Sparks books not with just a love story in mind. Yes his books involve romance, but usually the romance is only an accessory to a bigger picture. Granted The Notebook was a romance. But think about the rest of them. A Walk to Remember in the end it was about Landon becoming a better person for having loved her. Nights in Rodanthe was about Richard Gere connecting with his son. And Dear John is about John reconnecting with his dad before he dies. It is also about doing the right thing. Savannah didn’t love Tim like she loved John, but she was dying without him each day. And she did what she did because she thought it was the right thing that Tim needed her. And Tim’s main concern was that he would die and Alan would have no one to take care of him. He felt selfish for doing it to her.
I think that some people don’t like the story because it is not some fairy tale romance it is more about life and that it happens. So I say read the book. You will understand the movie better if you read the book and you won’t hate Savannah quite so much hopefully. I did like the little twist in the movie ending in the cafe.
